这是乐队介绍： “Crustation”最早由三位男性成员组成：吉他手Stig Manley，贝司手Mark Taylerhe和DJ Ian Dark。
他们在好友Pip Diaz创建的厂牌“Cup Of Tea”下分别于1994年和1995年发行了两张EP，《Foot Damage》和《Now'Til Never》。
《Foot Damage》充满了Lo Fi的原始风貌、混合着低沉的Bassline和刮碟声，仿佛身处一个阴暗潮湿的地下室。到了
《Now'Til Never》，曲风则要相对明朗流畅一些，这其中主要原因就是女主唱Bronagh Slevin的参与。Bronagh有着浓郁的
爱尔兰民谣式唱腔，平时喜欢随手写下一些歌词，这一切都不禁让人想起爱尔兰的一支著名乐队“Cranberries”。一般而言，
同一厂牌下的乐队都喜欢相互混音对方作品，Crustation也不例外，The Eff Word的“TBC”作品由他们操刀混音后，呈现出一派
迷幻的意境，配合着松脆可口的缓拍，那把娇媚的女声顿时让人感觉浑身酥软无力，飘飘欲仙，这个作品也被收入到了1996年
Cup Of Tea厂牌的合集《A Compilation》之中。紧接着，Crustation又在1997年连续发表了两张EP，《Purple》和《Flame》。
在《Purple》这张EP里，一共收录了“Purple”的四个不同版本，各有特色。Crustation自己的版本有着易于哼唱的动人旋律、
切合意境的歌词、曼妙温柔的女声、舒缓动听的节拍，这些都保证了整个作品的可听性，而这些也正是Crustation后期作品的标志
性特征。此外带有Old-School感觉的A Tribe Called Quest，浪漫轻松的Air，顽皮可爱的Mr Scruff分别都赋予了作品不同的感觉。
